More than 26,000 annotation applications were filed over the 2021–2025 five-year period under review, averaging approximately 5,000 applications per year. In 2025, the 5,172 applications were almost entirely submitted through the online system (96.2%), which is confirmed as the preferred filing method, consistent with previous years.

Over 5,100 acceptance orders for annotations were issued by the UIBM in 2025, confirming the average recorded over the 2021–2025 five-year period.

Following a decline in 2024, the proportion of transcription applications submitted through the digital channel returned to growth in 2025, signalling a renewed shift towards online filing. In terms of overall volumes, figures remained broadly stable compared to the two previous years.
