In 2025, applications for entry in the Special Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest exceeded one thousand, reaching 1,131. The 2025 figure is broadly in line with previous years, and all applications were submitted through the online channel, which is the only method available for such requests.
Outcome of proceedings – Year 2025
In 2025, 164 entries were recorded in the Special Register of Historical Trademarks, further confirming, as in previous years, the high priority accorded to the safeguarding and promotion of the traditional heritage of excellence expressed by Italian companies, recognised not only as a cultural and identity-defining asset, but also as a strategic lever for competitiveness. Applications rejected in the same year amounted to 24.
