After peaking in 2022, there was a decrease in the number of oppositions to the registration of trademark filed in 2024, confirming the previous year's trend. The online procedure continues to be the one used by almost all applicants (over 99%).

In 2024, the DGPI-UIBM examined and completed a total of 1,673 cases of opposition to the registration of trademarks. Over 60% ended with a extinction, while almost 29% led to the total or partial acceptance of the oppositions submitted.
