Patents, trademarks, designs and models not only represent tools for protecting Italian creativity: they are also competitive tools that fuel a virtuous circle to stimulate the national economy. Their use, therefore, necessarily requires a high level of regulation.

In order to regulate the correct use of IP rights and promote the transposition of foreign regulations into the Italian legal system, in 2024 DGPI-UIBM continued its regulatory activities, with the aim of ensuring the clarity, unity and effectiveness of the national legal system. The ultimate goal is to maintain a balance between the protection of IP rights and allowing the legal access to them.
