Patents+ 2024

Promoted by the Directorate and managed by Invitalia, this measure - aimed at micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, including new registered businesses and trading in Italy - has been refinanced for the year 2024 with 20 million euros. The application window opened and closed on the same day of 29 October 2024 due to the exhaustion of the allocated budget.

The main objective of this measure is to promote the development of a patent strategy and, consequently, to build and strengthen the competitive capacity of businesses. It provides for the granting and supply of incentives for the purchase of specialised services aimed at the economic recognition of a patent in terms of profitability, productivity and market development.

The non-repayable grant, awarded up to a maximum of 140,000 euros, covers the purchase of specialised services closely linked to the economic recognition of the patent and functional to its introduction into the production and organisational process of the applicant company, in order to increase its competitive capacity.
