Promotion abroad of collective trademarks and certifications 2024

On 10 December 2024, the DGPI-UIBM announced a call for the funding of the promotion abroad of collective trademarks and certifications, to which approximately 2.5 million euros have been allocated.

The applications, which had to be submitted to the managing body Unioncamere by 20 January 2025, can be submitted by:

• Associations representing production categories;
• Protection consortia;
• Other organisations of associative and cooperative nature.

The maximum incentives available to each beneficiary cannot exceed 150,000 euros and cover a maximum of 70% of the eligible costs, such as:

• participation in fairs and international shows;
• side events at international trade fairs;
• bilateral meetings with foreign associations;
• seminars held in Italy or abroad with foreign operators;
• communication actions on the international market, including through large-scale retail trade and online channels;
• creation of virtual communities to support the trademark.

The proposed activities must be completed within 6 months of the grant being awarded.
