With an overall budget of €2.5 million, the time window – opened in November 2021 - for the submission of applications for financial support aiming at promoting abroad Italian collective marks or voluntary certifications that distinguish Made-in-Italy products and services, closed on 22 December 2021. This incentive, managed by Unioncamere, provides funding for promotional activities, including international trade fairs and exhibitions, side events at international trade fairs, bilateral meetings with foreign associations, seminars in Italy with foreign operators and abroad, communication activities on the foreign market and the creation of virtual communities to support the trademarks.

As compared to the first edition held in 2020, potential beneficiaries were extended by including protection consortia and other organizations of associative and cooperative nature.

Apart from a single application, submitted by an Association representing production categories, which refers to a certification mark of the footwear sector, all the other incentives referred to national collective marks.

The maximum amount that could be granted to each beneficiary was €150,000 euro for one or more applications concerning different collective marks or certifications.

During 2022, the projects funded were mostly completed, bringing forward the deadline for the implementation of the planned activities set for 22 January 2023.
