Confirming the high level of interest among businesses in instruments supporting the protection of Industrial Property rights, the Trademarks+ 2024 [Marchi+ 2024] call for applications, whose application window had closed within just two days of opening in November 2024, also recorded a significant level of participation, with over 1,220 applications submitted, of which 790 were admitted during 2025, for a total of 1.8 million euros granted.

The geographical distribution of admitted applications is concentrated in the northern areas of the country. In particular, the North-East accounts for the largest share, at 34.9% of admitted applications, followed by the North-West at 32.8%. Central Italy contributes 21% of the total, while a more limited share comes from the South and Islands, at 11.3%. Overall, the data highlight a strong incidence of northern regions, which alone account for more than two thirds of the total applications.

With regard to the sectors to which the 790 applications admitted to funding relate, the industrial sector records the highest number, proving markedly prevalent over the other segments. This is followed by "Services", with 246 applications, while "Trade" records a more limited number of admitted applications, at 186.
